Responsibilities of Health Care Aides:

Provide personal care and support to patients or clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals.
Administer medications as per prescribed instructions and maintain accurate records.
Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any significant changes to the healthcare team.
Support individuals with activities of daily living, meal preparation, and feeding.
Making transportation arrangements as needed.
Working with a nurse, personal care aide, CNA, nurse aide, nursing assistant, and other caregivers and in-home care professionals to provide the best possible care to patients or clients.
Keeping up with in-service training.
Provide emotional support and companionship to patients or clients.
Maintain a clean and organized environment, ensuring infection control protocols are followed.

Requirements for Health Care Aides:

Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide program or equivalent.
Valid certification and registration as a Health Care Aide.
Previous experience working in a healthcare setting is an asset.
Reliable transportation.- Driver’s license
Medical test report
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Must be able to provide references.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Empathy, compassion, and a genuine desire to help others.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Flexible availability, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if required.
