Important news for migrants in the UK: Deportations are set to commence in July 2024, as announced by UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

The first deportation flight is scheduled for July 2024, with the destination being Kigali, Rwanda. Despite earlier promises of starting in spring, Sunak now confirms the delayed start, citing obstacles from the Labour party and the House of Lords.

- – Multiple flights per month throughout the summer and beyond.
- This plan, initially proposed by Boris Johnson in April 2022, has been delayed but is now set to become operational. The scheme’s cost exceeds half a billion pounds, according to the National Audit Office.
