POTD: Fancy Pants Carry – Private Safety Programs S&W Mannequin 39
Welcome to at present’s Photograph of the Day! When Michigan’s Trapper Gun Inc. acquired Watsonville’s Private Safety Programs within the Nineteen Nineties, proprietor Lin “Trapper” Alexiou ambitiously launched his Scorpion conversion kits for Smith & Wesson’s mid-century Mannequin 39 9mm pistol. Trimming the barrel and slide whereas bobbing the hammer, Alexiou’s customization radically resculpted the aluminum body too—thinning the set off guard and erasing manufacturing facility markings for flawless hid carry. Additional tweaks like checkered grips, snag-resistant sights, and a “Scorpion” etching enhanced grip and draw whereas sharpening the Fifties-era Mannequin 39’s capturing capabilities. Although understated on the floor, the cumulative adjustments represented an intensive overhaul hewing to Alexiou’s exacting requirements. When Private Safety Programs dissolved quietly within the 2000s, the imaginative Scorpion conversion equipment and its area of interest viewers vanished too.
“Designed by Lin “Trapper” Alexiou of Fraser, MI, the Private Safety Programs Scorpion took a Smith & Wesson Mannequin 39 and performs a radical “remanufacturing”. The pistol is diminished in a number of dimensions and contains a reshaped set off guard, matte end with blued small elements, one-piece guttersnipe sight, and polymer grips with silver medallion numbered “005” inlaid into proper panel. Features a fitted hardwood case numbered to match gun, two further magazines, and twenty-two rounds of ammunition.”
